Job Description:

The Chart Analyst reviews for completeness and deficiencies in the medical records of patients and compiles data from Meditech for periodic and statistical reports. Analyzes patients’ charts to ensure proper documentation from doctors and that all forms, ancillary tests and orders are included. Assigns deficiencies to appropriate Physicians in the Meditech system. Ensures all charts are assembled correctly. Corrects chart assembly as necessary after requisitioned documents are delivered to Medical Records. Maintains Residents and Attendings’ individual dictation number log. Files miscellaneous reports in charts.

Requirements/Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a Health Information Management Department for at least one year completing the clerical functions effectively and satisfactorily is ideal.
