Front Office Manager - Oncology #4

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000

Job Summary:

The Front Office Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the cancer center's front office, ensuring efficient patient flow, exceptional customer service, and administrative support. This role requires a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly oncology, and the ability to lead and motivate a team. By effectively managing the front office, the Front Office Manager plays a critical role in providing a positive patient experience and supporting the overall goals of the cancer center.

Responsibilities:

  • Team management:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the front office, including scheduling, patient registration, and check-in/out processes
    • Train and develop front office staff
    • Create and implement staff schedules to optimize patient flow and coverage
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback
  • Patient Experience:
    • Ensure a welcoming and compassionate environment for patients and their families
    • Resolve patient complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner
    • Implement patient satisfaction initiatives and collect feedback
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Manage front office workflow and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity
    • Oversee appointment scheduling and patient registration processes
    • Manage patient records and medical information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
    • Coordinate with other departments within the cancer center to ensure smooth operations
  • Financial Management:
    • Oversee patient billing and insurance verification processes
    • Monitor and manage front office budget
    • Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality of service
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and implement quality assurance measures for front office operations
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditation standards
    • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration of related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare administration
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and healthcare insurance
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
