Pharmacy Manager IV/Oncology

Pay: $140,000 - $155,000

Job Summary:

  • Oversee pharmacist, technician, and pharmacy intern activities regarding the preparation of compounded sterile products and hazardous drugs in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring all sterile compounding rooms, devices, supplies, and personnel are compliant with USP Chapter <797> and USP Chapter <800> regulations as well as any applicable state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring safety in the compounding and dispensing of chemotherapy, maintaining an adequate supply of medications, minimizing drug waste, minimizing unnecessary exposure to hazardous drugs, and managing cost and reimbursement for oncology drugs.
  • Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and interactions and compound hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products.
  • Oversees inventory, purchasing, and quality control of IV/oncology drugs and supplies
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting IV/oncology quality indicators
  • Participates in the sterile compounding training and education of pharmacists, technicians, and students.
  • Assists in the development of policy and procedures. other related duties as required

Qualification

2-3 years of oncology infusion experience preferred
Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required

BCSCP ( Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist) preferred
Current Pharmacist license and registered in New York State
